Featuring Solid 0.5% Silver Conductors
Meet irish Red, your faithful companion in low-frequency reproduction. Irish Red is a high-performance, low-distortion subwoofer cable that will add some serious bite to any home-entertainment system's bark.
The Silver Subwoofer Advantage
Irish Red boasts AudioQuest's Solid 0.5% Silver Conductors. While silver-plated copper conductors are sonically disastrous for full-range analog cables (such as speaker cables, or interconnects), their attributes are perfectly suited for high-speed digital applications and limited-bandwidth applications such as subwoofer cables. In subwoofer cables the apparent emphasis of low-frequency transients is most engaging, offering much of the performance of solid 100% silver conductors at a much more affordable price.
Proprietary Geometry
Irish Red's Solid 0.5% Silver Conductors use AudioQuest's proprietary Symmetrical-Coax Geometry and Nitrogen-Injected Foamed-Polyethylene Insulation for best performance at a very affordable price.
Metal-Layer Noise-Dissipation System (NDS)
100% shield coverage is easy. Preventing captured RF Interference from modulating the equipment's ground reference requires AudioQuest's Noise-Dissipation System. Noise-Dissipation System prevents a significant amount of RFI from reaching the equipment's ground plane.
Cold-Welded, Gold-Plated RCA Plugs
The cold-welded plug design allows for a connection devoid of solder, which is a common source of distortion. Because the ground shells are stamped instead of machined, the metal can be chosen for low distortion instead of machinability.
