    Audiophile Thunderbolt Digital Cable

Thunderbolt cable technology provides outstanding connectivity between computers and electronic devices. AudioQuest's Thunderbolt Coffee cable is an audiophile Thunderbolt digital cable with solid 10% silver-plated copper conductors and FEP insulation.

    Solid 10% Silver-Plated Copper Conductors

While solid conductors eliminate strand-interaction distortion and reduce jitter, solid silver-plated conductors are excellent for very high-frequency applications, in which the signals travel almost exclusively on the conductor’s surface. As the conductor’s surface is made of high-purity silver, the cable’s performance comes very close to that of a solid silver cable, but with a price much closer to that of a solid copper cable.

Solid conductors eliminate strand-interaction distortion and reduce jitter. Solid silver-plated conductors are excellent for very high-frequency applications, like HDMI audio and video. These signals, being such a high frequency, travel almost exclusively on the surface of the conductor. As the surface is made of high-purity silver, the performance is very close to that of a solid silver cable, but priced much closer to solid copper cable. This is an incredibly cost effective way of manufacturing very high-quality HDMI cables.

    FEP Insulation

Any solid material adjacent to a conductor is actually part of an imperfect circuit. Wire insulation and circuit board materials all absorb energy. Some of this energy is stored and then released as distortion. Coffee Thunderbolt, however, uses Solid High-Density FEP Insulation, which increases geometric stability while minimizing insulation-induced phase distortion.

    Controlled for Correct Directionality

All drawn metal strands or conductors have a non-symmetrical, and therefore directional, grain structure. AudioQuest controls the resulting RF impedance variation so that noise is drained away from where it will cause distortion. For best performance, please use the cable with the arrows pointing from source to destination.
