Semi-Solid Concentric Conductors

X2 has Semi-Solid Concentric conductors that significantly reduce strand-interaction, a major source of dynamic distortion in cables.

In a conventional multi-stranded cable, distortion caused by electrical and magnetic interaction are compounded as each strand changes position within the bundle as the cable is twisted or flexed. Thanks to X2's concentric semi-solid conductor array, strands within the smaller, tighter concentric bundle do not change position, significantly reducing distortion.

Long-Grain Copper Minimizes Distortion

X2's 14 awg conductors are made of LGC Long Grain Copper. These high-purity Long-Grain Copper (LGC) conductors minimize distortion caused by grain boundaries, contributing to the excellent sonic performance for the price.

Directionality

Because all drawn metal is directional, all audio cables are directional. AudioQuest analog and digital audio cables are all controlled for RF-noise directionality. Please use the cable with the arrows pointing from the source to the receiver or other component.

The jacket is gray or white PVC with a red stripe on one side (indicating the positive), which helps you make the correct connection.
