Add a CD Ripper and Central Server Functionality to Your Aurender System – Now Roon Ready
If you're looking to increase the convenience and functionality of your Aurender-based music system, Aurender has got you covered with a brand new component. The new ACS100 offers a sensible solution for adding CD ripping, library management, and central server functionality to any Aurender system. Conceived as an accessory upgrade or add-on, the ACS100 includes all the utility of the Aurender ACS10 in a simpler and affordable package.
To keep the price low, the ACS100 uses a less expensive external switch-mode power supply instead of a linear power supply. It also omits the dedicated filtered and isolated USB audio output, since its best use is as a stand-alone central server. This makes the ACS100 an ideal add-on companion to the Aurender A200, A15, A20, N20, W20SE, and N30SA. And, while adding valuable functionality to another Aurender component, the ACS100 can simultaneously be used as a source component for a second system.
Roon Ready, Too!
Here's great news! This Aurender model is now Roon Ready. See bottom of our product description (what you're reading now) for more information.
"All the Features You'd Expect from Aurender"
"The ACS100 was developed to be a more cost-effective version of the ACS10 offering many of the same functions as the ACS10," reports Carlin "Rick" Smith, sound-lab.com, April 10, 2021. "All the features you’d expect from Aurender like clutter-free direct access to your music as well as app-embedded Tidal and Qobuz subscription streaming services, Spotify Connect, internet radio, MQA Core decoding (optional), CD ripping and advanced metadata editing and library management."
"Not only does it deliver pure digital audio streaming with lossless playback of the highest resolution files, but it also offers convenient tools for music playback and media library management," notes Maxim Naumov, soundex.ru, September 2, 2020. "Thus, as a server for all home audio components, the Aurender ACS100 itself may well claim a place in the main system. With one small but very important consideration: the division of functions over time is the main principle of its operation."
Reference Quality Automatic CD Ripping
The ACS100 is specially designed for the music lover looking to convert a collection of CDs to a file-based format in the highest quality available. Enjoy lossless, error-corrected CD rips using ACS's TEAC optical drive and the company's customized audiophile CD ripping engine.
For large CD archival projects, the ACS100 is compatible with the Acronova Nimbie Auto Loader (sold separately) for automated batch ripping.
Metadata Editing and Library Management
Like any precious collection, Music Libraries need curation. The dedicated ACS Manager app allows you to manage, catalog, and edit a vast library for easy access. Browse your library with pride again.
ACS10 ships standard in a 2 x 8TB RAID1 configuration, where the 2 HDDs are set up as mirror images of one another in case of drive failure. However, if you require more capacity, ACS can be easily reconfigured to make use of the full capacity of both drives.
Central Server Hub
Do you have more than one system in your home? Think of ACS as your musical "mothership" where your music library lives. Other Aurender systems on your network can stream your library from ACS seamlessly. With ACS handling the content storage/server tasks, your other systems run nice and light for superior audio performance.
Hardware and Software Integration
Hardware and software are a closed system with the ACS100. Aurender playback and control software is developed in the same building as its hardware. Superior integration means that Aurender's software engineers are able to specifically optimize playback performance of the extremely robust hardware at their disposal.
The ACS system incorporates significant processing power and system memory designed to maximize headroom for expanded functionality now and in the future.
A powerful CPU is essential to making any computer run smoothly and quickly. However, with more power comes more noise. Aurender's low-power high-efficiency Intel CPUs have enough headroom to run the machine while minimizing the amount of current drawn in order to keep the noise floor as low as possible.
Caching Playback System
Every Aurender model features a massive solid state memory from which all playback occurs. This important feature helps to minimize system resource requirements for enhanced audio performance and stability.
Roon Ready Upgrade
Here's great news! This Aurender model is Roon Ready. Roon Ready models now function as Roon Endpoints. This means you can play music using the Roon app if you have a Roon Server running on the same local network as Aurender music server/streamer units.
To ensure your device is Roon Ready:
- Update your Conductor App to the latest version (Minimum Requirement 4.25).
- Update your Aurender System Software to the latest version (minimum requirement 1.24.255 for AP20 and A1000, 1.24.265 for A20 and A30)
- Ensure you have Roon Server installed on your local network with an active subscription.
