"Home Theater Review Best of 2014 Award"

"They Play Music Very Well" - InnerEarMag.com

Power and ease meet grace and nuance in the Bryston Middle T loudspeaker. The understated style and neat proportions yet extraordinary performance of this model make it ideally suited for home theater or stereo use in rooms which demand world class fidelity without the towering visual dominance of our largest floor standing models.

The Middle T offers astonishing impact and clarity for a loudspeaker of its size. Anticipate startling presence, deep and tight bass, and clear, truthful midrange and upper frequencies. The Middle T delivers a level of performance that is unqualified by size or price.

    "Five Star Performance Rating"

The Middle T won a "Best of 2014 Award" from HomeTheaterReview.com. "As a company known for high-end audio electronics, Bryston took a risk this year by moving into the crowded speaker market. That risk has certainly paid off with the Middle T, which received a 'five-star performance rating' from Brent Butterworth. Its appearance is as straightforward as they come, but its performance will definitely seduce you."

"As for the overall sound, I really enjoyed the end-result, because the Middle Ts play music and do this extremely well," reports InnerEarMag.com. "These speakers are among the few that are able to handle the musical complexities of large orchestral works and maintain sensitivity and clarity at very high AND very low volumes."

    "A Terrific Product"

"I expected no less from Bryston than to produce speakers worthy of their fine preamps and power amplifiers," notes James E. Johnson in a Secrets of Home Theater and High Fidelity review for June 18, 2014. "The Middle T's are a terrific product."

    Superior Suspended Disbelief

A state-of-the-art audio system involves what some refer to as a 'suspension of disbelief.' This means the playback system transcends the recorded medium and transports you to a live venue. You forget it's a recording and believe you are there at the live performance. Bryston's goal with the Middle T loudspeaker is to provide you with a superior level of 'suspended disbelief.'

    Deep bass Extension

Built to be exceptionally high quality and affordable, the Bryston Middle T boasts new driver designs, enclosure vibration analysis, crossover refinement, and anechoic chamber testing. All of this went into creating an amazing product, which brings superior design to the table.

Deep bass extends to an impressive 33 Hz, thanks to twin 8" custom aluminum cone woofers loaded in a rear-ported cabinet. BrystonÂ’s proprietary midrange and tweeter ably replay their respective ranges with absolute accuracy in tone and detail. Both the 5.25" aluminum cone midrange and woofers feature special ceramic-coated aluminum diaphragms, long throw suspensions, and very powerful motors. A lightning fast 1" titanium dome tweeter achieves remarkable detail due to uncommon strength to weight ratio.

    Extensively Braced Cabinet

Though not as tall as the flagship Model T floorstander, the footprint and construction philosophy of the Middle T remains the same. The extensively braced cabinet boasts 3/4"-thick walls. A massive 1-1⁄2"-thick baffle ensure that the only sound you hear from these speakers comes from the unique set of purpose built drivers.

    Goodies Galore

Black fabric grilles are standard. Also included as standard equipment are padded furniture feet, carpet spikes, and binding post wrench. Also available are attractive and functional outriggers with larger spikes which increase the stability of the loudspeaker.

"As for the overall sound, I really enjoyed the end-result, because the Middle Ts play music and do this extremely well. These speakers are among the few that are able to handle the musical complexities of large orchestral works and maintain sensitivity and clarity at very high AND very low volumes. The tonal balance and spatial presentation combines coherently and allows the listener a very believable sound stage sitting down or standing up — and not nailed down in the so-called "sweet spot" to realize focus, dimension and realism."

"I expected no less from Bryston than to produce speakers worthy of their fine preamps and power amplifiers. If I were building a home theater system around these, I would use three across the front, with a screen that is transparent to sound, or set the screen up so that it does not have to come closer than 4" to the floor, and two in the rear, with on-walls or bookshelf monitors on the side."

"The Middle T's are a terrific product."
