"Better Than Speakers Selling for Three Times the Price"
'Reference' is a word that's often bandied about in audio circles. It implies that the device being discussed is one that all other components can be compared against in order to determine their strengths and weaknesses. Inherently, it doesn’t mean 'best.' Instead of adhering to that definition, Bryston considers the Model T Signature floorstanding speaker to be an instrument. It is a tool so accurate and precise that it can be used to measure the quality of the recordings you choose to play through it.
With the Model T, the vast full-range presentation of tones and colors in your music is played back at full richness and timbre. Performance spaces are created before you, which are as intimate as a small studio or as grand as the most arresting symphony hall. The emotion and charisma of your favorite movie soundtracks and music are unabated by the ill effects of compression or other dynamic distortion common to even the most expensive home loudspeakers.
"Tremendous Levels of Control, Dynamic Ability, and Class-Leading Bass"
"The Model T is a balls-to-the-wall, highly capable floorstander that offers tremendous levels of control, dynamic ability, and class-leading bass performance," raves Aron Garrecht in his SoundStage! review for June 2013.
"I believe that Bryston Model Ts are not priced according to performance, but rather they are priced to sell – and sell they will as sound quality is in line with or better than speakers selling for three times the price and then some," reports InnerEarMag.com.
Extremely Powerful Speaker Array
Built to be exceptionally high quality and affordable, the Bryston Model T boasts new driver designs, enclosure vibration analysis, crossover refinement, and anechoic chamber testing. All of this went into creating an amazing product, which brings superior design to the table.
This three-way design uses a combination of seven formidable custom–built drivers. Three 8” aluminum cone bass drivers, two 5.25" aluminum cone midranges, and two 1" titanium dome tweeters are each custom designed to work in perfect synergy with Bryston's top-of-the-line outboard Signature Edition crossover.
Substantial, Finely Tuned Cabinet
A substantial, finely tuned cabinet contributes to the quality of the Model T's sound. Each of the drivers is bolted to the front of a 1-1⁄2"-thick front baffle and surrounded by the robust 3⁄4"-thick walls and braces which, together, comprise a 108 pound master work elegantly wrapped in your choice of fine grade veneer.
Black fabric grilles are standard. Also included as standard equipment are padded furniture feet, carpet spikes, and a binding post wrench.
Superior Suspended Disbelief
A state-of-the-art audio system involves what some refer to as a 'suspension of disbelief.' This means the playback system transcends the recorded medium and transports you to a live venue. You forget it's a recording and believe you are there at the live performance. Bryston's goal is to provide its customers with a superior level of 'suspended disbelief.'
