Tight, Tuneful, Fast, Dynamic, and Deep
When the bass in any audio system is right, the impact and depth can rattle your core. Correct bass is tight, tuneful, fast, dynamic, and deep. Just like any other speaker, a subwoofer should be accurate, and Bryston's Model T Subwoofer delivers on all counts.
Built to be exceptionally high quality, the Model T Subwoofer boasts new driver designs, enclosure vibration analysis, crossover refinement, and anechoic chamber testing. All of this went into creating an amazing product, which brings superior design to the table.
Taking Three Bass Drivers to Extreme Depths
The Model T Subwoofer boasts a powerful 600-watt amplifier that drives three Bryston 8" bass drivers to extreme depths below 20 Hz at SPL levels up to 108 dB.
Utilizing multiple 8" sub-bass drivers provides an enormous amount of displacement capability to move air, which is just what you need for dynamic bass output. Visually similar to the drivers found in the full range Bryston speakers, the drivers feature custom suspensions which allow very long throw and custom voice coils which can take a punishing amount of power over long periods of time without suffering compression, distortion, or thermal breakdown.
Speed, Dynamic Range, and Control
The Model T Subwoofer amplifier operates in a 'Class D' configuration in order to supply large amounts of power quickly for dynamic range and control. It also features a classic linear power supply, which can provide current on demand without polluting the signal path with high frequency switching noise commonly found on competitive subwoofer amplifiers.
Included Extras
Black fabric grilles are provided. Also included are padded feet and spikes which may be screwed into threaded inserts found at the base of the loudspeaker. Padded feet are suitable for protecting hard floors. Spikes are recommended for carpet.
Superior Suspended Disbelief
A state-of-the-art audio system involves what some refer to as a 'suspension of disbelief.' This means the playback system transcends the recorded medium and transports you to a live venue. You forget it's a recording and believe you are there at the live performance. Bryston's goal is to provide its customers with a superior level of 'suspended disbelief.'
