New Upgraded Version of an Entry-Level Champion
Entry-level MC cartridges have a new champion with Talismann v2.1 Gold MC. With this upgraded cartridge design, Clearaudio has established another benchmark which offers any audiophile unbeatable performance for the price.
The Talismann v2.1 Gold MC is the first model in the Clearaudio MC line that uses patents developed in the 1970s by Peter Suchy for a fully symmetrical moving coil phono cartridge design. Additionally, it uses the v2 generator, positioning the 24-karat pure gold air-core coils with twice the magnets, so that the coils operate in a much stronger magnetic field.
Housed in a unique Ebony wood body that provides superior coupling to the headshell and resonance tuning, the Talismann v2.1 Gold MC has a richness and fullness without sacrificing resolution. As with all Clearaudio MCs, it uses a solid boron rod cantilever.
As found on all v2.1 MC cartridges, Clearaudio's new Prime Line stylus provides enhanced trackability with its hybrid parabolic geometry and reduced tip mass. The Prime Line stylus offers a significant improvement over the previous version Talismann.
Outstanding Resolution and Dynamic Range
The resolution and dynamic range, the full-bodied weight and warmth, and the shimmering brilliance sets standards that even higher priced cartridges from other manufacturers cannot reach.
The Talismann v2.1 Gold MC is designed using Clearaudio's "ultimate refinement" philosophy. Painstaking care is taken to manufacture with remarkable consistency, which explains the attractive retail price.
The innovative ideas gained from many years of designing and manufacturing cartridges are combined with specialist techniques used in musical instrument manufacturing and are applied with German precision engineering and craftsmanship.
Ruler Flat Response
The hand polished ebony tone-wood body is slightly rounded, which leads to a resonance free construction. High impedance together with high output voltage ensures noise free musical reproduction. The ruler-flat frequency response from 20 Hz to 20 kHz provides solid realistic bass, uncolored midrange and natural high frequencies.
