Now Better Than Ever with Improved Design and Materials
All new for 2019, the Parsec Headphone Cable improves upon its predecessor, the original Cardas Headphone Cable. Parsec has more finely stranded conductors than its predecessor along with improved dielectrics and shielding. As part of the Parsec family of cables, this new cable brings added dynamic range and improved imaging to the Sennheiser HD600 and HD650 headphones.
The original Cardas Headphone Cable was developed 16 years ago, originally as a one-off project for George’s daughter Angela, who was a disk jockey at a radio station in Oregon. Through constant daily use, she went through a couple of stock Sennheiser HD600 cables and suggested to her father that he make a cable for her. Her request turned into a product development project, which turned into Cardas Audio's first headphone upgrade cable.
The Parsec Headphone Cable continues the legacy of the original Cardas Headphone Cable, with performance improvements that have earned it a place in Cardas Audio's Parsec product line.
Cardas Copper Conductors with Advanced Geometry
The Parsec Headphone Cable has an 0.198" outer diameter and a Cardas Copper conductors using four 23.5 AWG conductors of Litz wire with Cardas Golden Section and Crossfield geometries. It also uses PFA dielectric plus a spiral and semi-conductive tape shield. The TPR outer jacket is conveniently flexible.
