Upgrade Cable Brings Sonic Benefits to Focal Clear MG Headphones
The Cardas Parsec Headphone Cable for Focal Clear MG Headphones has all the legendary benefits Cardas is known for, including richness, warmth, detail, non-fatiguing sound, and musicality.
The cable is very flexible and the rubber jacket slides nicely without snagging your clothing. The shielded star-quad design is one of Cardas Audio's most versatile and successful products, very similar to its original headphone cable introduced back in 2003.
Parsec has more finely stranded conductors than its predecessor along with improved dielectrics and shielding. As part of the Parsec family of cables, this new cable brings added dynamic range and improved imaging to whatever headphone model that it's paired with – in this case, the excellent Focal Clear MG.
The Cardas Headphone Cable Story
The original Cardas Headphone Cable was developed 16 years ago, originally as a one-off project for George’s daughter Angela, who was a disk jockey at a radio station in Oregon. Through constant daily use, she went through a couple of stock Sennheiser HD600 cables and suggested to her father that he make a cable for her. Her request turned into a product development project, which turned into Cardas Audio's first headphone upgrade cable.
Parsec Headphone continues the legacy of the original Cardas Heapdhone Cable, with performance improvements that have earned it a place in Cardas Audio's Parsec product line.
Cardas Copper Conductors with Advanced Geometry
The Parsec Headphone Cable has a 0.204" outer diameter and Cardas Grade One Copper conductors (99.9999% pure oxygen free copper) with SPN clear coat (Litz), gauge sizes scaled to Golden Ratio proportions, plus Crossfield layer geometry, insulated in a PFA jacket.
The geometry consists of a shielded Star-Quad four-conductor design bound together in carbon impregnated FEP tape and finished with a super flexible Alcryn rubber jacket.
Termination is a Cardas 1/4” stereo plug and Focal Clear MG connectors.
