Joining Cardas Audio's Iridium Speaker, Interconnect, Phono Cables, the Iridium AC Power Cable brings high performance power delivery to the affordable end of the Cardas product line. It has enough capacity to be used with almost any electronics from sensitive digital sources to power amplifiers.
Shielded and featuring two Cardas 11.5 AWG Crossfield Conductors, PFA tape dielectric, and a toroidal filter, Iridium Power shares design features with Cardas Audio's higher end power cables. Iridium Power is light and flexible. It comes terminated with Cardas' own Cardas 3455R Power Connectors.
Grade 1 Copper and Premium Hand Termination
Terminated by hand in Bandon, Oregon, Iridium uses soldered and crimped Cardas power plugs with silver/rhodium plated solid copper contacts. The conductors consist of Grade 1, 99.9999% pure oxygen free copper with SPN clear coat (Litz), gauge sizes scaled to Golden Ratio proportions. It also has Crossfield layer geometry, insulated in a PFA jacket.
The Iridium AC Power Cable is double shielded using aluminum/mylar and tinned copper. It is a twisted pair configuration with natural cotton filler bound with PTFE tape wrap. It is protected by a super flexible Alcryn rubber jacket.
