Fully Balanced DAC and Headphone Amp/Preamp Boasts Industry-Leading Features

Your quest for an affordable, full-featured, audiophile-quality DAC and headphone amp with preamp functionality just got a whole lot easier – and smaller, too, thanks to its space-saving design with multi-function control knob.

The EverSolo DAC-Z8 is a compact audio decoder with excellent workmanship and high performance. Powered by a third generation XMOS 316 and the ESS flagship ES9038 Pro DAC chip, its decoding formats support up to DSD512, PCM 768Khz@32Bit and MQA full decoding.

It has exceptional sound quality, excellent preamp capabilities, and strong headphone driving force. A generous selection of inputs makes it the perfect partner for both high-end headphones and stereo speakers.

"As Good As It Gets at This Price Point"

"Wish you could see my face smiling as I type this, reflecting my experience with the Z8. Not only does it have superb performance but it is a delight to see and use," reports Amir, audiosciencereview.com, January 31, 2023. "Zidoo jumps into a very crowded and competitive market and easily makes room for itself with state of the art performance and delightful user interface."

"A fine DAC at a very interesting price point and clearly the sexiest of them all with a bright, clear flush LCD screen built into the aluminium machined chassis," notes Simon Wilce, hifiandmusicsource.com, August 23, 2023. "The quality is exemplary, the look is the future, and the DAC output is as good as it gets at this price point."

    Fully-Balanced Analog Audio Circuit

The analog audio circuitry takes maximum advantage of a fully balanced design. The XLR, RCA, and headphone output are all processed by a balanced differential amplifier circuit. The noise has been eliminated by resolving the crosstalk of the shared loop and improving channel separation. The high-fidelity preamp circuit supports refined volume adjustment, negating the need for connection to an external preamp.

In order to reduce any possible signal interference of the Z8's RCA and XLR output, the RCA and XLR signals are output separately for best audio performance. However, if you prefer, the RCA and XLR signals can be output simultaneously by setting them up in this fashion manually.

Benefiting from the EverSolo development engineers' rich experience in analog circuit design, the DAC-Z8 has professional calibration and circuit design. The total harmonic distortion ratio (THD) is an impressive -124dB (0.000062%), while signal-to-noise ratio and dynamic range are 133dB. These industry-leading indicators are solid foundation for good sound quality.

    Industry-Leading Digital Circuitry

The DAC-Z8 goes first class with its DAC. The flagship ESS ES9038Pro DAC is known as the industry benchmark, boasting low total harmonic distortion, plus extremely low noise and distortion.

The third generation XMOS 316 has fast processing speed and better USB bandwidth, which ensures lossless transmission for high-definition audio data. The USB output supports DSD512 Native, PCM768@32bit and MQA full decoding. The optical and coaxial output support DSD 64 (DoP) and PCM192@24Bit.

Tailor the sound the way you like! A selection of different digital filter modes in DAC settings give you a host of options. Choose from seven PCM filters and four DSD filters to suit the demands of a range of source material.

    High-Performance Headphone Amplifier

Enjoy headphone listening to the max. The professional headphone circuit has excellent audio and strong driving force, which means DAC-Z8 can be used as a high-performance headphone amplifier and drive 16-300ohm headphones. With its choice of high and low gain output options.

    A Generous Selection of Inputs

The DAC-Z8 gives you a number of digital audio inputs, including coaxial, optical, and asynchronous USB DAC (type-C for computers and mobile devices). The APT HD Bluetooth audio input can be used to connect with computers, streamers, CD players, phones, tablets, and more.

The built-in Bluetooth audio receiver is based on the Qualcomm QCC5125 module. It is Bluetooth 5.0 and supports SBC, AAC, aptX, apt LL, and aptX HD/LDAC Bluetooth audio protocol.

    MQA Playback

The DAC-Z8 includes MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) technology, which enables you to play back MQA audio files and streams, delivering the sound of the original master recording.

    Dual Low Jitter Clock Oscillators

Two low jitter clock oscillators (45.1584MHz and 49.152MHz) are integrated in DAC-Z8, which correspond to 44.1 KHz and 48KHz multiplied sampling management. As a result, audio decoding is more accurate.

    OPA1612 I/V Circuitry

The DAC-Z8's I/V circuit is made up of eight OPA1612 chips. The multichannel signal shunt compensation technology has been adopted, with eight OPA1612s corresponding to eight-channel output for I/V signal conversion, then output to two channels in parallel.

The I/V stage converts signal currents into voltage signal and is located in between the DAC current output and the first amplification stage. Here it improves channel separation, dynamic range and the sound integrity.

    Low-Ripple Power Module

A low-noise, highly regulated power supply module and dedicated an ultra low-noise audio filter capacitor are tailored for DAC-Z8. It powers the audio circuit and ensures clearer sound, with low ripple and very low interference.

    Control App and Front-Panel Control

THE DAC-Z8 can be easily controlled by mobile phone and other devices with the EVERSOLO Controller app. Almost all settings can be done in the APP via Bluetooth technology.

As a convenient alternative, the knob on the front panel is multifunctional. It can be used for volume adjustment, menu selection, input source switching, output selection, filter modes, UV meters, system language setup, firmware updates, and much more.

The three-inch LCD display on the front panel shows the colorful user interface of menu setting, audio source selection, VU meter, and audio info.

    Attractive Aluminum Chassis

The aluminum chassis is made of aviation aluminum, attractively combining an exquisite, timeless appearance with modern design elements.
