A Focal Invention for Smooth and Silky Treble
A Focal innovation, made in France, the TAM tweeter offers a wide diffusion angle and greater definition of sound, without directionality. Comprising an ‘M’-shaped aluminum/magnesium inverted dome cone, it delivers flawless harmonic balance and detailed treble of impressive finesse and clarity.
Focal's Tuned Mass Damper Technology
The TMD surround with harmonic damper is a patented Focal innovation that enhances the midrange and eliminates all vibrations. Mastering the midrange is dependent on the surround that lies between the solid frame of the speaker driver and the mobile cone. Thanks to the expertise of Focal's acoustical engineers, they found the answer in TMD (Tuned Mass Damper) technology, which stabilizes the surround to homogenize the timbres even more and creates sound neutrality.
Exclusive Flax Cone Bass/Midrange Driver
Patented by Focal and made in Focal workshops, the Flax cone is a French flax fiber sandwich between two sheets of glass fiber. It ticks all the boxes for a high-fidelity cone. It is lightweight for good dynamics, rigid to support the bass, and dampening to deliver a neutral and natural sound, without coloration. It also reproduces a rich midrange and is incredibly sharp at low frequencies.
Break-in Makes for Best Sound
The speaker drivers used in Aria Evo X loudspeakers are complex mechanical components which require a certain time to adapt to operate at their best and to become acclimatized to the temperature and humidity of the listening environment.
This break-in period varies depending on the climate and may last a few weeks. To reduce the break-in period, Focal recommends operating the loudspeakers for approximately twenty consecutive hours. Once the loudspeakers’ characteristics have totally stabilized, you will be able to enjoy your Aria Evo X loudspeakers’ performance to the full.
