Terminated with Premium Pangea Audio 'Locking Connectors'

This 'Dual-Triple' cable doesn't look normal on the outside, and it isn't normal on the inside, either. AudioQuest Rocket 33 offers amazingly clean and effortless performance, thanks to a combination of extraordinary materials and extremely refined design. Save a lot on Rocket 33 by purchasing our hand-terminated version in special No Frills packaging.

Now Rocket 33 is an even better buy when you give it a performance boost by ordering it with new premium Pangea Audio spade or banana connectors.

For high current flow and low resistance, these one-piece solid connectors from Pangea Audio are machined from 100% Tellurium Copper then coated with pure 24 Carat Gold. Other connectors may be shinier, but none are made from higher purity materials.

But great engineering doesn’t stop with the materials. Both connectors have a special spring-compression feature that locks them securely in place with little effort. They won’t easily loosen or slide out like ordinary connectors. Yes, they cost a bit more, but your connection security is worth it!

Hand Terminated by an Expert Professional

Each Rocket 33 cable is hand terminated by Audio Advisor's expert terminator, Randy Kaboos, who has over 20 years of termination experience. Then each cable is hand tested to insure quality.

Cables are shipped in a simple sealed plastic bag instead of a fancy box – hence the name "No Frills" packaging. You won't get a fancy box, but you will get a great sounding cable at an unheard of price!

    Solid Conductors

All six of Rocket 33's conductors are solid. Solid conductors prevent strand interaction, a major source of cable distortion. Electrical and magnetic interaction between strands in a conventional cable is the single greatest source of distortion, often causing a somewhat harsh, dirty and confused sound.

Solid conductors are the most important ingredients enabling Rocket 33's very clear sound. Whether a conductor is solid or stranded, skin effect is a prime distortion mechanism in speaker cables. Rocket 33 very simply keeps this effect out of the audio range by using conductor sizes that are below the threshold for audible distortion.

    Long-Grain Copper & Perfect-Surface Copper

Rocket 33 uses a carefully finessed combination of Long-Grain Copper (LGC) and high purity Perfect-Surface Copper (PSC) conductors. All conductors are solid, which prevents strand interaction, a major source of distortion. Surface quality is critical because a conductor can be considered as a rail-guide for both the electric fields within a conductor, and for the magnetic fields outside the conductor.

The astonishingly smooth and pure Perfect-Surface eliminates harshness and greatly increases clarity compared to OFHC, OCC, 8N and other coppers. High-purity PSC further minimizes distortion caused by grain boundaries, which exist within any metal conductor.

    Double Star-Quad Geometry

The relationship between conductors defines a cable's most basic electrical values (capacitance and inductance). However, even when those variables are kept in reasonably neutral balance, the particular geometric relationship between conductors greatly affects the sound. Star-Quad geometry is not only vastly superior to conductors run in parallel, but also to the same conductors as two twisted pairs.

    Carbon-Based Noise- and Crosstalk-Dissipation System

This cable's negative conductors are covered with partially conductive Carbon-Loaded Polyethylene. This remarkable material reduces radio-frequency garbage being fed back into the amplifier. The sonic benefit is exactly the same reduction in "hash" and improved dimensionality that comes whenever RF interference is reduced in an audio circuit. In addition, a carbon layer damps interaction between positive and negative conductors, and an external Carbon-Based Noise-Dissipation System reduces external interference.

Foamed-Polyethylene Insulation (For All Positive Conductors)

Any solid material adjacent to a conductor is actually part of an imperfect circuit. Wire insulation and circuit board materials all absorb energy. Some of this energy is stored and then released as distortion. Tower, however, uses air-filled Foamed-Polyethylene Insulation on both conductors. Because air absorbs next to no energy and Polyethylene is low-loss and has a benign distortion profile, Foamed-PE, with its high air content, causes much less of the out-of-focus effect common to other materials.
