"Excellent Buy" Serious CD Player at an Affordable Price

Leave it to Musical Fidelity to offer a truly audiophile-quality CD player that definitely won't break the bank. Don't settle for playing you CDs on a Blu-Ray or DVD player, when they aren't designed for the job. And if you're still using a CD player from decades ago, you're missing how good your shiny silver discs can sound thanks to modern technology and Musical Fidelity expertise.

Like the company's matching M2si integrated amplifier, the M2scd is designed as serious hi-fi available at a modest price. From the fine fit and finish of its metal casework to the unique technology inside, the M2scd will exceed your every expectation.

The M2scd builds on our years of engineering expertise, uniquely featuring both a mains choke filter and a high-tech digital stream noise filter. Such innovations enable the player to deliver technical performance. furthermore, it boasts low distortion and a virtually flat frequency response, along with very minimal noise and jitter that could otherwise interfere with your musical enjoyment.

    "Smooth, Musical, Elegant"

"The M2sCD presents a refined, enjoyable listen. For those who like a smooth, musical, elegant and highly listenable sound, it’s a fine proposition," reports England's What Hi-Fi? magazine . "There’s little competition at the price, and that makes it an excellent buy if it matches your budget."

    Superior Delta-Sigma DAC

One reason that CDs sound so great is the M2scd's superior DAC. It uses 24-bit Delta-Sigma (bit stream) dual differential chipset with 8x over-sampling. The M2scd's DAC design also draws from its high-end siblings, using cutting-edge technology to ensure excellent data recovery from your discs.

    Analog and Digital Outputs

The M2scd provides the expected analog RCA line-level outputs for connection to your preamp, integrated amp, or receiver. But it also gives you the option of using your favorite standalone DAC, if you prefer, while relying on the M2scd as a high quality transport. The digital outs consist of 1 x coaxial output and 1 x TOSLINK optical output for wide compatibility for most audio gear.
