    Fully Up-to-Date 1980s-Inspired Integrated Amp

Over the past 45 years, Mission has become famed for loudspeakers that break the norms of price-point, technology, and design. But it isn't widely known that during Mission's illustrious history, the company was also responsible for equally outstanding hi-fi electronics.

A case in point is the Mission 778X, which revisits a classic amplifier concept that was the Mission 778. That affordable integrated amplifier offered simplicity in operation but overperformed when it came to driving loudspeakers beautifully.

Today’s Mission 778X maintains the influence of simple operation, large tractile controls, and a multitude of inputs. It’s a compact, 1980s-inspired integrated amplifier that is fully equipped to meet the demands of modern music lovers, from vinyl fans to digital streaming enthusiasts. Modern twists, such as LED level indicators and multiple connectivity options, make the 778X a truly contemporary integrated amplifier. It boasts a genuine 65 watts (@4 ohms) of power via an utterly modern and refined signal path, adhering to the exemplary standards from which Mission loudspeakers are developed.

    Built-in 32-bit DAC

For excellence in the digital domain, the 778X comes equipped with a high-performance ESS ES9018K2M Reference chip with ESS Technology’s 32-bit HyperStream architecture and Time Domain Jitter Eliminator. In the world of digital music files, this means the 778X offers class-leading, ultra-low noise digital audio file compatibility, with a sampling rate of up to 384kHz (PCM) and DSD256!

    Ready for Your Turntable

The Mission 778X is fully ready for your turntable. Just plug your 'table into the phono input and toss on your favorite LP to experience vinyl heaven. The built-in phono stage is based around a JFET-based circuit with precise RIAA equalization. Optimized for MM cartridges, this high-quality, low-noise phono input eliminates any need for an additional phono preamp.

    Digital Connections and Bluetooth

The Mission 778X is also ready for your digital audio gear. In addition to the typical RCA line inputs, the 778X includes digital and coaxial connections. A built-in Bluetooth receiver with an aptX and AAC codec provides CD-quality performance via Bluetooth wireless connection. The convenience of streaming music from smart devices like phones, tablets, or PCs has never sounded so good!

    Headphone Stage

If you love listening to music through headphones, you'll appreciate a headphone stage that is equal in performance to standalone headphone amplifiers. Featuring quality beyond the price class of the 778X, the headphone amp design offers high-speed output signal transition thanks to a high slew rate. The result is a dynamic, detailed, and engaging performance with all manner of headphone types.

    Mission's Labor of Love

Like all hi-fi gear designed by Mission, the 778X is a true labor of love. Its all-around performance is engaging, detailed, and refined. Detail, timing, and dynamics excel, regardless of source or medium. Perfect for today's music enthusiast and with a nod to Mission's esteemed heritage, the Mission 778X goes the extra mile when it comes to the expression and enjoyment of your favorite music.
