The W12 is the mid-sized model in Monitor Audio's Anthra subwoofer series. It features a 12" Rigid Surface Technology II (RST II) C-CAM high-excursion driver powered by a Class-D 1,000 Watt amplifier. These are housed in an attractive sealed-box cabinet with comprehensive internal bracing.

Rigid Surface Technology II Bass Driver
All Anthra subwoofer drivers feature Rigid Surface Technology II (RST II) and ceramic-coated aluminum magnesium cones (C-CAM). RST II significantly increases cone rigidity, allowing the radiating surface to resist mechanical bending forces, especially under the significant forces that Anthra amplifiers are capable of supplying, which can twist the shape of conventional driver cones to produce distorted sound and ultimately damage the driver.
Powerful Class-D Amplifier
Behind the RST II C-CAM high-excursion driver lies a formidable amplifier capable of jaw-dropping power. With Class-D 425, 900 and a massive 1,400 Watts RMS at continuous levels with peak demand reaching 500, 1,700, and a massive 2,500 Watts (depending on Anthra model), each amplifier ensures that the drivers are working to their optimum performance levels, no matter what the volume.
Easy-to-Use MaestroUnite Setup App
Using Monitor Audio's in-house-designed MaestroUnite setup app, you can optimally configure your Anthra subwoofer to your individual taste and system requirements.
The app allows complete custom setup using basic or advanced features. Thanks to options including EQ pre-sets (configurable by either Monitor Audio or the user), Gain, Low Pass Filter, Auto-On, LED Control, Phase and LPF Slope, and many more, you get complete control over the setup of your Anthra sub.
