Very Clear and Natural Sounding, Even When You Play Music Loud
Monitor Audio's Silver 300 7G three-way floorstanding speaker features real-wood veneers for a natural look, along with a newly developed Rigid Surface Technology (RST) II driver design for the most natural possible sound. It’s designed to reduce distortion, so when your music’s loud, the sound remains very, very clear.
The Silver 300 7G speakers incorporate some of Monitor Audio's most advanced engineering yet, for sound that will leave you speechless. Much of the technology at play is hidden, but there’s still plenty to feast your eyes on. New grilles, driver trims, and feet give an even more refined look, accentuated by five different choices of wood veneer, including Natural Walnut, Ash, Black Oak, Satin White and High Gloss Black.
"Gets Toes Tapping and Fingers Snapping"
"The Monitor Audio Silver 300 sets a very high standard for a modestly priced floorstander. It’s just flat-out likeable, with a level of energy that gets toes tapping and fingers snapping," raves Neil Gader in The Absolute Sound magazine. "Loudspeakers face a tough road in the highly competitive $2–3k category, but the Monitor Audio has more than enough game and ranks with the best I’ve heard in this range."
"The more you push the listening level up, the more this speaker magically reveals detail in recordings that you wouldn't expect at the price," reports Rafael Todes, StereoNet, February 22, 2022. "This tallies with the Silver 300's general character - tight, taut, detailed, spry and dry. The Silver series has come a long way since its early models… I guess five intermediate generations is a lot of time and voicing opportunities to get something right!"
Award-Winning Performance
The 300 7G won a Reviewers' Choice Award from soundstageaccess.com. According to Dennis Burger, "If you’re shopping for an affordable three-way tower speaker that looks as good as it sounds, and sounds exactly the way a speaker of this design should—which, let’s be honest here, hasn’t always been a realistic expectation—then Monitor’s mid-line Silver 300 does exactly what it says on the tin.
"It’s the sort of speaker that I hate reviewing, no matter how much I love listening to it, because there are only so many ways you can say 'this simply sounds correct' before becoming a repetitive bore."
Powerful Three-Way Design
The powerful three-way design with dedicated mid-range and bass drivers delivers the ultimate refinement. The driver complement consists of a 1" C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter, a 3" C-CAM midrange driver with Rigid Surface Technology (RST) II for extra clarity, and two 6" C-CAM bass drivers with Rigid Surface Technology (RST) II, also for extra clarity. Add Silver AMS 7G Dolby Atmos® enabled speakers (optional, sold separately) for your home theater system.
Perfect for mid to large-sized room set-ups, either in a stereo or a home theater system, the Silver 300 7G is rear-ported and tuned for ease of positioning without affecting the sound performance. Increased stability is provided by sturdy outrigger feet and a choice of spikes for carpets or rubber feet for hard floors. Both are included.
The Seventh Generation Silver Series
Ever since the Monitor Audio Silver Series was introduced in 1999, it has set standards where performance, finish and value for money are concerned. And with the new seventh generation, Monitor Audio has put even more distance between the Silver Series and its nominal competition. The seventh generation of the Silver Series features a brand-new, contemporary design in a choice of five high-quality finishes, numerous acoustic innovations and a model line-up extensive enough to cater for every music and home theater requirement.
New Rigid Surface Technology (RST) II Driver Design
The New Rigid Surface Technology (RST) II Driver uses an aluminum alloy that improves the tensile strength of the cone while retaining all the benefits of Monitor Audio's C-CAM technology – low distortion, high power handling, excellent directivity. Drivers can go louder for longer without compromise.
New C-CAM Tweeter Design
A completely new magnet structure and rear chamber design are among the invisible improvements to the new C-CAM Tweeter Design. The new Uniform Dispersion Waveguide II and compression ring are much more visible now. And the end result of the extensive redesign is thrillingly clean and accurate treble response.
New Crossover Design
Splitting the incoming signal between tweeter and mid/bass driver is an art in and of itself. Monitor Audio's new crossover design for the Seventh Generation Silver Series works sympathetically with the drivers to deliver perfect tonal balance.
New Tweeter and Driver Trims
By minimizing the appearance of the mid/bass driver surround, and by making a feature of the tweeter protection dispersion pattern, both the look and the performance of the speaker is enhanced.
New Cabinet Design and Finishes
Crisply drawn edges define the new Silver Series 7G cabinets, and the choice of five luxurious finishes, including three real-wood veneers, creates a look that’s both contemporary and timeless.
"Like the Music is Being Played Right in Front of You"
"The folks at Monitor Audio have built a very worthy contender. The speakers have a soundstage that makes you feel like the music is being played right in front of you, while providing a sound that is beautifully detailed and neutral," observes Andrew Dewhirst, futureaudiophile.com, March 15, 2023.
"If you’re someone who is looking to upgrade your speakers, these floorstanding speakers shouldn’t disappoint, and it won’t take you long to see where your extra money went, as I could hear the difference in these speakers from the first time I set them up. Don’t take it from me though: get out there and get a demo of the Monitor Audio Silver 300 7G."
