Excellent Integrated Amp for Analog Systems
NuPrime’s IA-9X is an integrated amplifier designed for excellence in an analog audio system. It combines two cutting-edge technologies – NuPrime ODC and Harmonic Generation circuits – to offer adjustable sonic characteristics. This makes it perfect for either studio monitoring or relaxing music listening.
The NuPrime Only Distortion Cancellation (ODC) circuit offers ultra-low distortion for neutral and detailed sound. The Harmonic Generation circuit (utilizing Class A transistors) provides slightly warm and rich sound similar to that of a vacuum tube amplifier.
A toggle switch allows you to select either the ODC circuit or ODC with natural harmonics. The ODC ultra-low distortion mode is typically suitable for studio monitoring or music with many dynamics, such as rock. Alternatively, you can increase natural harmonics when relaxing and listening to vocal or classical music.
Fill Your Room with Beautiful Sound
This amp will easily fill your listening room with beautiful sound. The power output is 90 watts RMS at 8 Ohms and 145 watts at 4 Ohms. Peak power is 100 watts at 8 Ohms and 160 watts 4 Ohms. A 99-step digital control of the analog volume circuit gives you smooth, precise control over amplitude.
Nuprime's specially customized 13200uf audio-specific capacitors and 25A high-current bridge rectifiers, providing fast and dynamic driving force for your favorite pair of speakers.
Balanced and Unbalanced Inputs
The IA-9X gives you a range of analog inputs consisting of one balanced XLR in and two unbalanced RCA ins. A phono input for your turntable is also provided. Outputs consist of binding posts for a pair of stereo speakers. For easy system integration, 12-volt input and output connections are provided.
Ultra-Low Distortion Amplifier Modules
The ODC Class D PWM module includes two of NuPrime’s new ultra-low distortion amplifier modules (THD=0.0014%) composed of the MUSES8820 op-amp in a new delta sigma circuit. The hallmarks of this circuit are excellent ultra-low distortion and high driving force characteristics.
Built-in MM Phono Preamp
The preamp stage of the IA-9X includes an MM phono input designed for Moving Magnet phono cartridges. This eliminates the need for an external phono preamp and allows you to plug your turntable directly into the IA-9X. Instead of providing only one setting for MM cartridges, the phono preamp is adjustable, allowing you to tailor it precisely to your cartridge for best sound via a variety of settings for input resistors (for impedance) and capacitors. Check the specs that came with your phono cartridge to know which settings to use.
The built-in PRA-9X phono amplifier is a two-stage RIAA amplifier that utilizes an NJR MUSES8820 audio quality op-amp to provide an accurate RIAA curve and low distortion at high amplification and performance. The input and output use a special audio relay source switch, which has the lowest interference and highly accurate transmission.
Wireless Remote Included
Well laid-out front panel controls make operation a snap, and the front-panel display lets you know which input you've selected, volume setting, and other information. Alternatively, you can use the included compact wireless remote for armchair listening convenience.
