The NuPrime PRA-9X is a fully balanced preamplifier designed for ultra-low distortion performance. It includes a MM phono input and a 1/4" (6.3mm) headphone output. With its impressive dynamic range and exceptional resolution of detail, the PRA-9X can reproduce the full, powerful presence of an orchestra as experienced in a symphony concert as well as the subtle breath of a musician in an intimate concert setting. With appropriate source material, the realism is phenomenal.
Designed with the most demanding analog lovers in mind, the inputs consist of two stereo RCA pairs, one stereo XLR pair, and one phono stage input RCA pair. Outputs consist of one stereo RCA pair and one stereo XLR pair, plus a front-panel 1/4" headphone jack.
Lowest Distortion Fully Balanced Design
Not only does the PRA-9X take maximum advantage of a fully balanced design, but it also provides for its input and output a special audio relay switch, which has the lowest interference and highly accurate transmission during source switching. MM Phono Stage That's Built to Thrill
The PRA-9X has a built-in high quality moving magnet phono stage that is designed to thrill. The phono input has a variety of settings for input resistors and capacitors to match a wide range of different MM cartridges. The phono amplifier section is a two-stage RIAA amplifier that utilizes the NJR MUSES8820 audio quality op-amp to provide an accurate RIAA curve and low distortion at high amplification for top performance.
In addition to the built-in phono preamp, the PRA-9X is equipped with a premium headphone amplifier. Connect your favorite pair of headphones with standard 1/4" (6.3mm) plug and enjoy a new level of intimate listening.
Expertly Engineered from Input to Output
Expertly engineered from input to output, the PRA-9X includes line outputs using four of NuPrime’s new amplifier modules, which boast an unbelievably low Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) of only 0.0004% at 7.5Vrms. These are composed of MUSES8820 bipolar-input op-amps in a new amplifying circuit that has excellent ultra-low distortion and high driving force characteristics. NuPrime’s next generation current booster circuit provides an excellent 114dB Signal-to-Noise Ratio (S/N).
The easy-to-read front panel display shows status of input source selection and volume control setting, which can be changed with the included ergonomically designed wireless remote. An input and output trigger offer power on/off control for convenient system integration.
