Modular, Fully Balanced Preamp with Optional Digital Expandability
The Primare PRE35 is a modular, fully balanced stereo preamplifier that makes an exceptional system control center for your music listening.
The PRE35 offers unprecedented low-noise and distortion-free performance as a result of a circuit design benefitting from the use of a four-layer main board to achieve the shortest possible signal path. Carefully crafted input circuitry utilizes relays for input switching, providing better isolation and sound than found in more conventional CMOS (Complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor) switches.
Optional Digital Functionality Available
In addition to comprehensive input and output options, featuring both XLR and RCA connections, the modular design of the PRE35 also allows you to add the optional DM36 DAC module as well as the SM35 Prisma network player module for unprecedented system customization. Both modules are sold separately.
If you can't wait and want the digital functionality right away, order the Primare PRE35 Prisma balanced stereo preamplifier, which comes standard with these modules included and installed.
Sleek Scandinavian Design
Every aspect of Primare products – including the way they look and the satisfying feel of the controls – contributes to the overall user experience. As a result, Primare products exude the hallmarks of Scandinavian design, featuring a simple, elegant look with approachable and easy-to-understand functionality.
An example of this is Primare's signature control knob, known throughout the industry for both its appearance as well as how it feels in the hand as an input is selected or volume adjusted. – or as they say in Swedish, lagom, meaning 'not too much not too little, everything in balance, proportion, and harmony.'
Modular Design and System Building
Primare feels it is essential to offer modularity whenever possible, in order to have just the right features, both now and for the future. Modular design is featured in the I25 and I35 modular integrated amplifiers, as well as the PRE35 modular preamplifier, all of which can be updated with DAC and Prisma modules, as well as the CD35 CD player that can have the Prisma module added, either at the time of purchase or at a later date.
As a result, Primare can offer a carefully considered array of models and configurations in order to allow for device selection that best fits any system need. For example, a CD35 with Prisma module installed can be paired with an I35 integrated amplifier, allowing for a separation of analog and digital stages. Or an I35 with DAC and Prisma modules installed can be paired with a DD35 CD transport, allowing for multi-room and multi-zone playback of every input, whether analog or digital source.
