Premium Legend-Series Height Module with Large Sweet Spot for Surround Sound Effects
Polk Audio's Legend L900 is a premium height module speaker for its L800 and L600 speakers. It is designed to deliver the 3D audio found in Dolby Atmos, Dolby Atmos height Virtualization, DTS, DTS:X, DTS Virtual:X, and IMAX enhanced soundtracks, and it seamlessly integrates into the L600 and L800 floorstanding loudspeakers.
Horizontal Orientation for Better Performance
The Legend L900 Height Module is Dolby Atmos certified and designed to meet DTS:X specification. Traditional height speakers and toppers orient their tweeter and woofer vertically, resulting in a small “sweet spot” and can leave you underwhelmed. The L900 Height Module’s horizontal orientation ensures both the phase and time alignment for the tweeter and the woofer. It delivers a large “sweet spot” for a truly immersive experience.
New .75” Pinnacle Ring Radiator Tweeter
Timbre-matched to the Legend floor standing speakers, the Pinnacle ring radiator tweeter is horn loaded to maximize high frequency response and to create that immersive experience.
New 4” Turbine Cone Woofer
Utilizing the same Turbine Cone as Legend floor standing speakers, the height module is timbre-matched and positioned within the array to deliver the most immersive Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and IMAX Enhanced experience.
Polk Audio's pioneering Turbine Cone woofer design delivers a significant increase in cone rigidity without increasing mass. This innovation means the woofer can move with increased accuracy and speed to deliver enhanced sound resolution, enabling you to experience a breathtaking level of detail in your music and movies.
Flush Mounted
The Polk Legend Height Module is a flush mounted system instead of a topper. Not only does it offer a cleaner look, it reduces diffraction effects from the baffle for a smoother frequency and time response to the listener.
Integrated Sealed Enclosure
Once installed with the L600 or L800, the Height Module creates a top-quality sealed box. A Phoenix connecter helps to reduce loss of bass and to suppress cabinet wall resonances.
Maximize Your New Home Theater
While certified Dolby Atmos or DTS:X content will be maximized on your Polk Audio Legend speaker system, nearly any content can be improved with the addition of your L900 height modules. For example, nearly all Dolby Atmos receivers feature a Dolby surround up-mixer function that automatically adapts any traditional channel-based signal to the new, full capabilities of your system, including your L900 height modules. This ensures that you hear realistic and immersive three-dimensional sound, no matter what you’re playing. Please reference your receiver or processor owner’s manual for complete information.
Engineered by Polk
For over 45 years, Polk Audio has been designing, engineering and voicing amazing sounding loudspeakers, sound bars and smart speakers. Polk’s engineers prototype, tests, and listens to every aspect of its loudspeakers in their Baltimore Maryland USA engineering facility. From innovation in tweeter design to the legendary Stereo Dimensional Array (SDA) speakers, Polk audio delivers great sound that’s accessible to all.
Why Polk Audio?
In 1972 a group of friends, talented engineers, and music lovers got together with the skillset, the ambition to make the best speakers they could afford, and the attitude to change the establishment. That day, a speaker company was born with a clear vision for quality and a powerful mission for value.
Each and every day since then, all Polk products are the result of tight-knit collaboration, teamwork, and our collective passion to make great sound available to as many people as humanly possible.
A mission like that requires more than engineering expertise. It requires inventive spirit, hard-earned experience, and intuition. It’s that intuition—the most magical human ingredient—that bestows Polk products their sonic personality and pride of place in your home. To this day, design, acoustics, engineering (and ingenious, intuitive human magic) all happen under one expansive roof under the guise of democratizing sound. Because Polk Audio means it when they say great sound shouldn’t be a privilege of the few.
