Linear Power Supply Design
The linear power supply used in the RS Uni 1-Way consists of a massive toroidal transformer with shielding between primary and secondary winding, which acts as an isolating transformer and avoids penetration of interferences from the mains AC power into the audio component. The built-in transformer has a much higher power reserve compared to the standard RS-series power adapter. It has very low output impedance and in combination with large filtration capability it can easily manage all power needs.
What you hear is improved soundstaging and imaging against a silent background, also making micro-detail more available to your ears, contributing to far better overall performance of your RS Series component.
Purest, Cleanest Power
The Power Box RS Uni 1-Way provides the purest and cleanest power using a non-switching power supply. The soft-start circuitry avoids current inrush in the primary winding. The power supply features secondary voltage rectification with precise regulation and high filtration capacity (10,000 µF). It uses low-ESR capacitors and low-noise components with surge protection.
