Say Goodbye to Ungrounded Turntable Hum
Every turntable needs proper grounding. If a turntable isn't grounded, it may have what's known as a "different reference potential" than the connected amplifier. This difference induces a compensating current which manifests as a hum.
All good audiophile turntables have a separate ground cable which can be connected to the ground terminal of amps or phono stages. Unfortunately, many modern amps, powered soundbars, and powered streaming speakers lack a ground connection for your turntable. Audible hum will frequently be the result.
To solve this problem, Pro-Ject designed the High Power it power supply. The High Power it is a three-pin power supply with ground connection for Pro-Ject turntables. It eliminates turntable grounding issues and gets rid of annoying hum. In addition to this major benefit, true to its name the High Power it delivers more power and cleaner current to all 15V DC Pro-Ject turntables.
