Boasting 150 watts of power per channel into 4 ohms, this dual-mono design features a built-in phono stage (MM/MC), DAC, headphone amp, and Bluetooth receiver.
Superior tube-like sound and a class leading 32-bit/192 kHz D/A converter stage deliver outstanding performance. Despite its small size, the MiaA DS3 can accommodate a full nine source devices connected simultaneously. It is one of the most versatile products on the market, offering analog phono and line stage inputs as well as digital inputs such as lossless streaming using aptX Bluetooth.
Nine Digital and Analog Inputs
On the digital side, the MaiA DS3 includes a coax digital input, two optical inputs and a USB input for the onboard DAC. This DAC supports up to 32-bit/192kHz PCM and DSD256.Three line inputs are provided for analog gear, along with an MM/MC phono input. Bluetooth AptX HD input gives you wireless playback from smartphones, tablets, and other gear supporting Bluetooth. The Bluetooth codec support includes BT 5.0, aptX, aptX HD, and A2DP.
Analog outputs contribute to the capability and flexibility. These include one fixed-output and, one variable output pair of RCA jacks. The MaiA DS3 also offers a subwoofer output.
Room-Filling Sound
The MaiA DS3 will easily fill your room with sound, thanks to its powerful 150 watts-per-channel output at 2 ohms and 140 watts-per-channel at 4 ohms. Its circuitry uses a dual mono design principle for best quality balanced sound. A premium volume control with a motor driven potentiometer gives you great sound and easy, precision remote control. Included are fixed and variable outputs for a subwoofer or a second zone amp.
Built-in Phono Stage and Headphone Stage
You don't need an external phono preamplifier to hook up your turntable. MaiA DS3 has a phono input plus a built-in phono pre-amplifier with MM moving magnet and MC moving coil capability for superb performance with almost any phono cartridge. The MM stage offers 40dB of gain (47k ohms) and the MC stage provides 60dB of gain (100 ohms). A built-in phono preamp of this quality isn't often found in integrated amplifiers these days.
With many hi-fi components, a headphone jack is merely an afterthought and isn't implemented correctly for gest sound quality. But not so with MaiA DS3. For enjoyable private listening, it includes a headphone output coupled to a dedicated amplifier stage. You'll love how it sounds with your favorite pair of 'phones. The output jack accommodates a 1-1/4" headphone plug. The headphone output delivers 2 x 430mW at 32ohm (1% THD).
App Control with Built-in Remote Box Functionality
What makes this amplifier absolutely unique is the built in Box Control system, which allows easy control of this and other IR controlled devices from Pro-Ject using the free control app from Pro-Ject. A mobile device with activated Bluetooth (paired with MaiA DS3) control does not need WiFi environment at all. The control system works even during Bluetooth music playback. Additionally, the MaiA DS3 includes an IR remote for those times when you prefer not to use your phone or other mobile device for control.
High Quality Enclosure
The sandwich aluminum / metal casing is aesthetically pleasing and effectively protects the internal electronic circuitry against airborne interference. MaiA DS3 is attractive, too, boasting sleek, minimalist design and ergonomic engineering. Available in a black or silver aluminum chassis, the design is elegant, minimalist, and rugged.
