No-Compromise Turntable with "Huge Depth and Planet-Spinning Control"

Pro-Ject's no-compromise RPM 10 Carbon is designed for audiophiles who demand the absolute best in a turntable, without having to pay a five-figure price. The RPM 10 Carbon is a resonance-optimized audiophile turntable featuring Speed Box electronic speed change, the 10cc EVO Tonearm, magnetic suspension, and an optional Sumiko Starling MC phono cartridge.

Following years of extensive research and development, Pro-Ject lifts its classic RPM design to the highest level ever. The RPM 10 Carbon uses a new extra heavy chassis which features a special CNC machined MDF plate that incorporates hard resin coated steel pellets to form an extra heavy precise sandwich construction. A special complex heat treatment and a carbon surface coating ensures superior low resonance levels.

"Huge depth and planet-spinning control emanate from this turntable. Its ability to wrap the music around its little finger absolutely transfixed me," raves Jason Thorpe in his February 2021 review for SoundStage! Network, which honors the RPM 10 Carbon with a Reviewers' Choice Award. "I've found the love of my audiophile life. If you’re still looking for yours, do not ignore this turntable."

Decoupled Chassis Floats on Magnetic Feet

The mass-loaded chassis is effectively decoupled from its surface via the included Ground it Carbon isolation base and magnetic feet. With two magnets located in the feet, the turntable practically floats. The studs in the feet are only used for keeping the turntable centered. Due to this unique feature, the turntable is perfectly decoupled from the surface it is placed on.

Combined with a new special polished aluminum platter with internal TPE damping and a vinyl layer on top, the inverted ceramic main bearing delivers an absolute stable turntable speed with extra low rumble.

Outboard Isolated Motor with Speed Box Electronic Speed Control

The extra heavy outboard motor unit is equipped with a precision Speed Box motor control and features a built-in switch for a no-hassle choice between precisely regulated 33 and 45 rpm speeds. No pulleys or belts to tinker with when you change from playing LPs to your favorite 45pm LP or single.

10cc Carbon Fiber Tonearm with High-Mass Tonearm Base

Included with the RPM 10 Carbon is Pro-Ject's 10cc Evolution tonearm with conical carbon-fiber armtube which eliminates standing wave reflections. The solid armbase permits accurate height adjustment of armtube and VTA (vertical tracking angle). The single-screw fixing of the armtube allows rotation for easy adjustment of the needle azimuth despite the fixed headshell. The 10cc Evolution uses highly flexible top-grade copper internal wiring and a Linn standard mount.

The tonearm base benefits from high-mass technologies and is isolated from the main board by a sheet of Sorbothane. The inverted bearing design ensures perfect tracking, even with demanding cartridges. Highly flexible top-grade copper internal wiring offers superior signal transfer.

Also included is a top grade 5P Pro-Ject Connect it CC phono cable with RCA plugs, a 45 rpm adapter for playing singles, and a spirit level.

Optional Sumiko Starling MC Phono Cartridge

You can order the RPM 10 Carbon with the optional Starling MC phono cartridge. Starling is Sumiko's latest reference open architecture design featuring a MicroRidge stylus on a boron cantilever in a low output/low mass configuration. This is a powerful, dynamic cartridge with a very refined coherent presentation. The Starling is the latest manifestation of Sumiko's forty years of refinement of phono cartridge design. It features a new CNC‐precision milled high grade aluminum body with optimized resonance properties.

Starling's open-architecture design builds on the strengths of the Songbird. With the addition of a long-grain boron cantilever and a MicroRidge stylus, the Starling offers significant improvements in resolution and dynamic range over the Songbird.
