Your vinyl records need specific maintenance. A dry brush cleaning before playing the record is good to remove surface dust. But to effectively clean the grooves you need to wet-clean the record. This requires a suitable cleaning fluid.
Wash It 2 Record Cleaning Fluid
Cleaning fluids containing alcohol can destroy musical micro information in LP grooves. That‘s why Pro-Ject designed a new eco-friendly non-alcoholic cleaning fluid called Wash it 2. It optimizes the cleaning performance, allowing the powerful VC-S3 to clean records completely in one to two revolutions. Wash it 2 is a pre-mixed liquid, so you don‘t have to dilute the concentrate. This avoids the possibility of accidentally using unsuitable tap water for mixing.
New Magnetic Clamp for Speedier Cleaning
While cleaning your records with the VC-S3, the new magnetic clamp not only seals the record label from cleaning fluid to avoid damage on the label, but it also speeds up the whole cleaning process. Place your record on the machine, put on the clamp and you are ready to go – no more tedious screwing of the clamp anymore.
The robust, easy-to-use metal arm is mechanically stable and focuses all suction power directly onto the record surface. Paired with a new self-adhesive arm strip, the set-up ensures your records get cleaned perfectly. The large, 85 ounce (2.5 liter) internal container collects used fluid and is effortlessly easy to empty.
Wash it 2 cleaning solution will evaporate in the container, meaning the container will almost never need to be emptied even after cleaning thousands of records. The container shows fill-up capacity, which helps to guarantee zero spillage of used cleaning fluid.
