The Perfect Combination of Power and Style

The A10MKII Integrated Amplifier from Rotel offers the perfect combination of power and style for the music lover seeking to elevate their listening experience.

Constructed around a linear power supply featuring a massive Rotel-built toroidal power transformer, the A10MKII delivers an authoritative 50 Watts per channel of Class A/B power into 8 ohms, and even higher into more challenging loudspeakers.

    "A Handy Little 'One-Stop-Shop'"

"It's not just its fine sound quality that pleases, though. Rotel has fitted all the facilities you really need to this amplifier – providing you do your digital-to-analogue conversion and streaming elsewhere. In other words, it's a handy little 'one-stop-shop', an excellent package that removes the need for adding lots of extra boxes," reports Mark Gusew, stereonet.com, June 23, 2020. "I also liked its healthy power output, which was just enough to get the joint jumping with most modern loudspeakers."

    Power Supply Innovations

Power supply innovations and critical circuit layout provide physical and electrical separation to lower the noise floor and increase musical dynamics. The multi-tap transformer delivers isolated power to the low-voltage sensitive circuits and the high current amplifier output transistors further isolating the signal paths reducing unwanted distortion.

This low impedance power supply has ample power reserves, which enables the unit to easily reproduce the most demanding audio signals. This type of design is more expensive to manufacture, but it is better for the music.

Rotel's sound-first design supports fast transients and delivers an expressive, open musical performance. All analog sources are welcome, with three line-level RCA inputs, and a Moving Magnet compatible phono stage provided for vinyl lovers.

    Built-in Phono Preamp

The built-in high quality MM moving magnet phono stage lets you directly plug in your turntable and start listening to your favorite LPs. No outboard equipment is needed, and the built-in circuitry rivals the performance of many stand alone phono stages. Whether you are just getting started with vinyl LPs or you already have a nice collection of albums, you will be happy with the sound quality.

    Built-in Headphone Amplifier

Not only does the A10MKII do a fantastic job with your speakers, it also provides an option for less conspicuous music playback. An 1/8” headphone jack with dedicated headphone amplifier circuit is provided on the front panel for private listening sessions. Unlike many manufacturers who toss-in a headphone jack as an afterthought, the headphone section is well thought-out and carefully tuned for top performance.

    Intuitive Front-Panel Controls

An intuitive front panel layout includes rotary Bass, Treble, and Balance controls, making the A10MKII a joy to use up close. The included IR remote control, and a motorized analog volume controller extend ease of use to your favorite listening chair.

The Bass and Treble controls are an especially nice feature not often seen on audiophile-level amps, and Rotel does a fantastic job of maintaining signal purity in the tone control circuitry.

    Symmetrical Circuit Traces

The printed circuit boards (PCB) are designed with Symmetrical Circuit Traces. This ensures that the precise timing of the music is maintained and faithfully recreated. The circuitry uses metal film resistors and polystyrene or polypropylene capacitors in important signal paths. All aspects of this design have been examined to ensure the most faithful music reproduction.

The A10MKII is available in both black and silver finishes.

"Rotel's A10 integrated is more competent than one might imagine given its size and price. Indeed, I was in no rush to swap it out – and found myself forgetting the amplifier's price tag as soon as I cued up the music. That's honestly not something you can say about most sub £500 designs.

"It's not just its fine sound quality that pleases, though. Rotel has fitted all the facilities you really need to this amplifier – providing you do your digital-to-analogue conversion and streaming elsewhere. In other words, it's a handy little 'one-stop-shop', an excellent package that removes the need for adding lots of extra boxes. I also liked its healthy power output, which was just enough to get the joint jumping with most modern loudspeakers. Indeed, I can see this little amplifier either at the heart of a great starter system with a turntable attached, or doing the heavy lifting in a second system in the home or office. Either way, as the central hub of a quality sound system, Rotel's A10 certainly doesn't disappoint."
