No-Compromise Two-Shelf Rack for No-Compromise Audio Gear
What could you do with a no-compromise two-shelf Solidsteel Hyperspike HF-2 rack? You could make your no-compromise turntable preamp and power amp really shine. Or perhaps pamper a premium DAC.
Ultra high-end audio components, especially tube gear that can weigh quite a bit, require absolutely rock-solid support and no-compromise isolation features. Otherwise you risk missing the full performance potential. DACs can also fall short of the mark if vibration in the room or from other gear on your rack gets into the signal chain.
Every audio component works best with proper support and isolation, and on both accounts you can't do better than Solidsteel's Hyperspike HF-2 two-shelf audio rack.
The appearance of the HF-2 is fully the equal of its feature set. Gleaming stainless steel supports are impressive to behold, and the glossy black or white lacquered shelves are beyond anything found on all but the most expensive racks.
Hyperspike Design
The Hyperspike name comes from the locking isolation spikes between each shelf and the large Hyperspike floor spikes for decoupling the rack from your listening room. Speaking of large, the HF rack series offers generous size shelves that are perfect for esoteric gear that doesn’t always conform to standard component dimensions.
This stunning two-shelf rack features stainless-steel frames made of 1.5"-diameter tubes that support handsome white or black lacquered MDF shelves. The modular design lets you combine HF-series racks to expand your storage capability as your system grows, or even to reduce the number of shelves if you decided to scale back your system.
Generous Shelf Space and Equipment Capacity
The HF-series shelf dimensions are the largest available in Solidsteel's flagship Hyperspike range of vertical racks. The HF-3 is 21.3" tall (including Hyperspike floor feet and Hyperspike floor pads), 25.4" wide, and 22.1" deep. Usable shelf dimensions are 25.4" wide, 22.1" deep for the top shelf and 21.1" wide, 22.1" deep for the second shelf.
The distance between first and second shelf is 12", and the distance between the second and the floor is 6.9" (including Hyperspike floor feet and Hyperspike floor pads). The weight capacity is a maximum of 176 lb. per shelf.
Strong, Gleaming Tubular Frame Construction
The four-pillar, tubular frame construction is designed to give maximum component support and minimum physical contact with the floor for isolation from room-borne vibrations. Each shelf is individually isolated, too.
The tubular supports are made of high quality solid INOX stainless steel, polished by a state-of-the art process for a smooth and shimmering finish. Contributing to the solid support and isolation capabilities of each shelf are securing screws, adjustable spikes with a locking mechanism, and metal isolation pads.
Rubber O-rings, somewhat similar to piston rings, improve the fit while reducing the transmission of mechanical energy between shelves. This is the acclaimed Hyperspike Vibration Free System, designed by Solidsteel.
