Advanced Design and Enhancements
The Solidsteel S3-A Amp Stand provides a nice step up from S2 Series racks, thanks to S3 Series enhancements. These include support tubes containing damping material for added resonance control plus an increase in weight capacity of 132 lb. per shelf versus 110 lb. per shelf for S2 Series racks.
For your amp, the S3-A's single shelf is 23" width and 16.9" depth. The assembled stand is 4.9" tall and weighs 15.4 lb.

The new S3 Series draws inspiration from decades of production of the popular Series 3, Series 5, and Series 6 racks. For over twenty years, Solidsteel engineers have studied these series in terms of materials and overall design with results culminating in the latest and greatest S3 racks. The S3-A boasts a rigid MDF shelf and new, non-welded aluminum tubular supports. Aluminum is lighter than steel, ridiculously strong, non-magnetic, and an excellent damping material. By eliminating welding from the equation, S2 racks eliminate resonances that develop in hollow welded posts. Unwanted energy and vibrations cannot seep into your rack.
And speaking of damping, the aluminum tubular supports are filled with damping material to reduce resonance and room vibrations that can compromise the quality of music reproduction. Solidsteel's adjustable stainless steel spike feet are included for another degree of isolation and to provide convenient leveling. Protective floor discs are also included.
